I didn 't realize it has been five weeks since a post. I have an "Ash Wednesday Two Weeks Later" to post, but I want to scan some pictures for that, and I CAN'T GET MY SCANNER TO WORK!!! erg!!!
The quick report on us is that Daniel continues in some pain but has some relief from an injection. I'm leaving discussion of all that to him.
I'm scheduled for a bit of surgery tomorrow morning (23rd). I will get a device implanted in my hip that should (given the results of a prelimnary test) greatly help my incontenence. More afterward.
We are tackling the book writing in ernest. I've spent several days on it and would like nothing better than to concentrate on that (with Kiddo visits sometime, of course).
I leave for a 2 day trip to Boston on March 31. Four doc appts (3 for left eye). It will be 13 weeks since my fall and I'm hopeful of shedding my cast. Beanie will pick me up, get me to docs, take me home for the night. We will celebrate her birthday and St. Pats day just a bit late.
Love to you all... look for more after surgery and my Ash Wed post when I get the scanner working!!

Glad to get this. Have been thinking of you a lot. Didn't want to interupt your "creative flow." Best wishes in surgery! ( and for results to be as you wish )

Best wishes indeed.
I think of you two often right now. Lee is on Day 50 in Kaiser Redwood City. Started with a an attack of severe acute pancreatitis mid January where he spent 10 days in patient, then out for 10 days, then since Jan 31 in patient and still there. They took out most of his pancreas 2/16. It's been all about the complications (not unexpected) and this can go on for a few years though likely not all in the hospital.
So I think of you guys and take great hope from you.
Lena (& Lee)

Glad to see the post...I have been checking in periodically to see 'what's up'. Glad that it is generally positive! Best wishes on the surgery. May you sail through with flying colors. Love to both of you.

Hoping for a "May update"! Nice to see more people checking in here. Feeling of connection and community. Bet spring is beautiful in NC. Sure is in Northern California. Perfect days in late April/early May. Much love, betsy
