We had a wonderful time to day on this warm 4th of July with Bonnie on her Day Pass from noon til 9PM. But it does feel like high school when I have to drop my girl off before her curfew and do not dare kiss her in the car.
Bonnie is making blood platlettes at the border of normal and they are coming up steadily. Bonnie's other red blood cell components seem to be recovering as well. This being Day 36 of Bonnie's fourth Chemo Cruise... we will soon meet with the doctors for Bonnie's bone marrow biopsy. We hope and pray to be able to go on to coordinate the many highly interdependent actions that compose a successful bone marrow transplant and recovery of one's natual immune system without triggering Graft vs. Host Disease. We are interdependent on the donor, two key doctors, a dozen nurses, nurse assistants, housekeepers, pharmasists and a dozen or so specialists who are on call. On this 4th of July we celebrate our interdependence.

We all watched Germany vs. Italy on our HDTV. A World Cup day indeed.
